Aran de Lira

Aran de Lira, the son of the King’s Ward Commander, grew up alongside Princess Nerea and Prince Erin, sharing a close bond with the royal siblings.
However, a tragic event in his youth left an indelible scar on his soul. Though the pain lingers, shaping much of his life, Aran has shown remarkable resilience. He refuses to let his past define him entirely, choosing instead to focus on others’ well-being and face his responsibilities with unwavering resolve.
Now entrusted with the weighty task of killing the queen, Aran is determined to honor his duty and forge his future through strength and courage.

Adso

Fate leads the young Adso de Zelk to accompany Aran on his journey. A student of the Abbey of Egion, Adso offers invaluable support throughout Aran’s quest.
In combat, Adso plays a crucial role as a strategist, meticulously analyzing enemies and documenting their traits in the travel book. This growing compendium provides insights into each foe, helping Aran devise more effective strategies to overcome them.
Beyond battle, Adso’s keen intellect shines in solving puzzles and deciphering ancient texts and spells, uncovering hidden knowledge and unlocking vital secrets to aid their journey. With his sharp mind and unwavering loyalty, Adso proves to be an indispensable ally.

Glinda

Glinda is an ancient and legendary Master Forger, as old as the world itself. A Master Forger is a human chosen to wield one of the Seven Forgers’ Hammers—powerful relics passed down from humanity’s creators, the Forgers. These hammers are not only tools but symbols of immense responsibility, tied to the destiny of those who bear them.
Glinda becomes Aran’s guide and mentor, unveiling the profound mysteries and sacred craft of the Master Forgers. As she imparts her vast knowledge, she also observes Aran closely, scrutinizing his actions, decisions, and growth. Her ultimate test is to determine whether Aran has the strength, courage, and heart to fulfil his destiny and prove himself a true hero.

You are Aran de Lira, the last warrior capable of forging true steel in a world where metal turns to stone. Your journey is not about collecting weapons, but about forging them through intent, sacrifice, and consequence, and surviving long enough to master their weight.

THE FORGE

Weapons are forged at the anvil through deliberate choices that permanently shape their behaviour, balance, and purpose. There is no endless loot. No disposable gear.

CHOOSE YOUR WEAPON

Choose between seven different weapon families and over 30 unique Forge Scrolls, which allow almost infinite weapon combinations. Your choice of weapon will be crucial when facing your enemy!

TACTICAL COMBAT

Combat is deliberate and unforgiving. Every strike commits you. Every mistake costs you. Victory is earned through patience, positioning, and understanding both your enemy and the blade you forged to face them.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE

The world of Blades of Fire does not unfold through constant exposition.
Much of its history, myths, and meaning resides in Adso, Aran’s companion — a young, learned mindscholar with deep knowledge of the world and an eagerness to share it.

BE ON GUARD

Over 50 enemy types, including the Queen’s guards, creatures, undead and more. Each enemy has its own unique attack style, weapon, and armour setup.

A WORLD FULL OF MYSTERY

Aran and Adso embark on an uncertain mission. The objective is clear, but the path is full of dangers, mysteries and epic settings such as huge castles, maze-like palaces and more. You will know only what our heroes know, your intuition and courage must fill in the rest.
